Katie Blankenship

YEAH! Music Department Director

Katie Blankenship serves as the TNTRC-Nashville Director and as the Music Department Director at YEAH! where she oversees all of YEAH!’s Rock Camps and Rock Block Programs. She holds a Master of Arts from New York University with a focus on non-profit art administration and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Santa Cruz, in Cultural Anthropology. Katie is presently a Juris Doctor Candidate at Belmont University College of Law. Katie has been a working musician for seven years, and has formed several bands in both New York and Tennessee. She has toured domestically and released two independent albums, both of which she produced and arranged. She has taught instrument lessons and served as a band manager in various YEAH! programs for the last five year.

Issa Blowers

NYCRC Executive Director

Issa Blowers serves as the Co-Director of NYC Rock Camp.  She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Art and Education from Johnson State College and has been involved with non-profit organizations for years.  Issa’s passion for the arts and education made her a perfect fit for NYCRC.  She started volunteering with NYCRC in 2009, when it was still Brooklyn Emerging Artists Rock Camp, and was so moved by the experience that she decided to come on as a Director in 2010 and now works year round to keep NYCRC going strong!
